Sunday afternoon we were in Copalis Beach, WA - 48 years ago we were the care takers of the Tidelands Resort - Polly was a baby - we worked so hard that the owner let us hire Uncle Craig - who had just graduated from high school. Then we all three worked hard - but at least we could walk on the beach together while Craig answered the phone!! This is a big jellyfish we found.
We also found some big crabs - turning them over the seagulls had eaten all the meat!
We found a piece of driftwood big enough to put the self timer on the camera - this view is toward the ocean - sun behind us.
This is toward the shore line.
Dad wanted me to take a picture of all the clam shells, and sand dollars...pretty big ones. The current manager told us that they can only clam now in the spring and in the fall. When we worked there we clammed all summer - low tides especially good.
Picture of us in front of the new Tidelands sign - they have a Sasquatch swamp in the back of the property.
Wanted to document our Montana truck on the beach at Ocean Shores! It was cool and rainy and we didn't get in the water - just did our morning walk along the beach.
The local library had these pretty hydraganas (sp) - so lovely!
