A year ago, Becky hosted Doll Camp - Lindsey came with Olivia, Sadie and Georgia - and part of the fun was dressing Medical Dolls - the Four-H project won first prize at the Cache Country Fair - and the Utah State Fair! KC's girls helped earlier in the summer, we came later. KC's sister-in-law saw the poster and called Holly - "Your girls are in the State Fair!"
Here is Aunt Sue telling the little girls how to dress the dolls - then you send them to the hospital with a kiss and a hug - Sadie giving her doll those things - so cute.
Dressing the dolls - Sterling was with us and Cambria - a friend of the Fairbanks.
Becky got us a nice cake and cupcakes - Seventy years - hard to believe. Derrell had suggested we go to Sizzler in honor of our Mother - she liked it there - but Becky vetoed that and made us a yummy Chinese lunch.
Sure happy that the Preston Rodeo is the first weekend of August - brings Derrell and LaNore down from AK and we get to see them ... and celebrate close to our birthday.
Yummy food and wonderful company.
Two officially OLD people! Derrell looks like our Grandpa Smith - people think I look like Granny. Both were pretty good looking people .. so we'll take the comparisons!
Dad really liked taking our picture - actually I keep asking him to! and it was good to have Derrell help me hold up the cake - no dropping it this time.
Blowing our our candles - we hope to have our wishes come true. Sam's card to Derrell said: "Blow out your candles and have a piece of cake, sneeze out your candles and you get the whole cake!"
Not too bad for being so old!
