Tuesday, July 19th, Sydney went to the Rexburg Temple ... it was a wonderful day. Stefan and Heidi, Dan and Lindsey and us! Two friends also came from Las Vegas .. great session.
Closer and with everyone with happy smiles - and grateful hearts.
With the Las Vegas friends - both high school teachers - one funny thing...the friend on the end had a big sneeze when the nice lady taking the picture said: "cheese" - made us all laugh.
Sweet Shelby took care of the darling Fairbanks girls - thanks so much Shelby! Awesome cousin!!

Activity Day Girls Quilt - July 18th
On Monday, July 18th - our old ward used our house for part of their Activity Day Camp - Primary President and 2nd C. came - I had the quilt already set up.
The girls did a pretty good job with some already knowing how and others learning - with help.
They were going to take the finished quilt with another one I made earlier - to our local hospital.
Avery Stones - looking at the camera ... she is Dad's third cousin! Her grandpa is his 1st cousin, and her Dad is his 2nd cousin...she is also a friend of Annabelle.
All finished - turned out very nice.
Two quilts that we took to the hospital.

Anniversary Party - Vivian Park, July 16, 2016
Saturday, July 16, 2016 we took Joel and Anna back to Hyrum, on our way to the family party in Vivian Park - celebrating our 50 years of Marriage - here are some of the cute decorations Katie and others made for the party - I made the shirts.. quite the contrast to us 50 years earlier!!
July 15, 1966 - Crestview Reception Center - Salt Lake City, Utah - happy day!
Not too bad for being 73 and 70 years old!
It was Keenyn's 6th birthday - and Aunt Polly brought him a small cake - that Sadie's interested it!
Jennie surprised us and flew out for the party - soooo much fun to have her, and Kurt's family drove over from CO - anytime we get to spend with them is awesome!
Table full of yummy food - thanks to Polly for the KFC - in honor of Granny! Everyone contributed and there was plenty to take home for those who lived close. See the play area in the background? Sweet Faye took my hand and asked: Grandma, can you take me to that park? I sure could and did!!
Kate brought sweet pea flowers from her yard - they were on the tables at our reception! in glass baskets - I gave them to the bridesmaids after the reception.
Another picture of the pretty flowers - Kate got the vases at the dollar store - love it!!
The awesome quilt that you all contributed to!! Polly, Heather and Lindsey did such a great job putting it all together - we'll love it forever - and ALL OF YOU!
The fishing pond - Kroeber's brought some fishing tackle to share and most of the grandkids had a turn....drowning bait!

Thia waving goodbye, Joel's championship, Smithfield restaurant, visit to Pocatello
We drove to Smithfield and watched Joel's team win the Championship of their level of Little League - Joel's in the middle of the back row. It was funny, after the game the Director brought a box of trophy's out on the field and told the boys to grab one!
Happy Family - fun to be able to see a couple of games - Joel and the whole team really improved!
We stopped at a restaurant in Smithfield - the side of the building said: Eat Here! so we did! It was fun and full of antiques, junk as Dad said. Annabelle liked the tiara on the bull's head.
Joel being silly with Spider Man.
Joel got a free ice cream sundae for winning! Nice celebration!
They claimed this was part of the original wall of the Fort - not so sure but neat, anyway.
Joel and Anna came home with us for a visit to Pocatello and to see their friends. This is Grace and Anna in the hammock that Stan and Julie gave us for Mother's and Father's Day.
The girls had a good time until Joel came and sat on the edge and they all tipped over onto the deck!
Grandpa drove Joel back to Hyrum to play in an All Star game - he was going to miss two games the next week when he was at Boy Scout Camp --- Joel came back pretty tired!
Before Anna had to go back to Hyrum, we made mermaid tales for she and Grace - they turned out pretty cute and functional! Grace had to leave before we got Anna's all sewn together!
On Friday, July 15th, we began our celebration of 50 years of marriage - we went to the Gate City Gray's baseball game! A kind lady in the row in front of our took our picture! The Grays were ahead by 6 or so when we left - Dad always likes to get out of the parking lot early - they won without our cheers.
