Emma Jane's Baptism February 28, 2015

Pretty Madeline playing the piano at Emma's Baptism - prelude, postlude, and all the songs!
Grandpa Smith signing the cute picture of Emma - note the fun bowl of Salt Water Taffy!
Proud Papa Kurt and happy smiles Emma - outside the Church - lots of snow!
Emma by her picture in the hallway - she was all smiles!
Aunt Sue and Uncle John signing the picture - John got to hold Sheffield only while I took the picture.  Sheffield was so sweet - he fell asleep in my arms - and stayed that way the whole program...I loved it!

Old Cars

I liked this old Chevy truck that was up on the rack in the high school auto body shop.
Another view of the old truck.
Derrell had an orange VW bug when he was in high school - think this is it?

Teachers lounge in the Auto Body Shop - fun car seats!
I could take a nap on that!
Never heard of this wonderful 1030's car!  I learn so much when I sub!

Auto Body Shop

This is the classroom for the Auto Body Shop - downstairs - in Pocatello High School.
This was in the room when I got there to Sub on Thursday!!  maybe a 'dunce' cap moderinized?
Did you know that your pictons can fail nine different ways!  Neither did I!!
Gotta love the trash can next to the Teacher's desk.
I liked this poster - and parents, for the most part, know the WHY - !!

Gramps and Talus

In my 'sorting' I found this cute picture of Gramps - as a preschooler, I think.  Dad commented that it looked a lot like Talus in our Valentine - yep cutest smile around!!

SNOW!

Saturday morning we woke up to snow!  First time since Christmas...and we were in UT, VA and NC then. We have had a few flurries but nothing like this all of January and most of February.
I really like the snow and cold in the winter - didn't get my fill even living in Montana for two winters!  Haven't shoveled yet this year!
Our house in the snow - Dad did shovel but it all melted from the roads and driveways also.
Newspaper boys tracks and mine!  The Land Rover is in the shop for a couple days - minor repairs.  Not much snow to celebrate but when we've had none - we have to make do with this!  It could be two feet high and I would love it!
The tree just off our deck in the back yard.
Neighbors pretty pine tree.  I hope we get another couple of good snow storms before spring.

Math Class

I subbed last week in a Algebra Class at Highland High School.  This was the clock on the wall!  Glad I had a watch to help me tell time!
I liked them poster on the wall also - very true!
The Math teacher must have a good sense of humor to post this poster - and I hope he doesn't slap and run!
This was a nice reminder of the difficulty of math word problems!
This was the best!  Kept me laughing all day!

Visit to Rexburg

Friday, February 20th was a no school day for Pocatello - so no work!  We drove to Rexburg and attended the temple at noon.  Our ward had a Temple Night scheduled at the Idaho Falls Temple at 7 that evening - so we did two in one day - awesome!
Jordan was out of class at 3:00 so we went to her apartment - same building as Sydney, different apt.  It was very clean - I was impressed - told Jordan I would tell her mother!
We went out to dinner at Applebee's in Rexburg - isn't Jordan pretty?  It was fun to catch up with her busy life and learn about her ambitious plans for the future!
