There are two apple trees at the Mortensen's house. Dad picked all the apples and today we made applesauce. Here is Dad at the corer and peeler things working hard.
Here are the apples - just a few worm holes - Dad caught them out!
Dad put the apple slices in a pan and I cooked them 15 minutes - then put them in the blender and - hooray - applesauce! We are going to freeze it in these containers since we don't have a canner.
We didn't add any sugar, but Dad asked me if we could put some cinnamon in one - and I remembered reading somewhere that you put Red Hots in - so I got online and sure enough - so we did!
Here's the final result - the pink and red are the Red Hots one - they all taste amazing! We are pretty proud of ourselves - you may get some for Christmas!!

Beautiful Visitors and Sunset
Beautiful Sydney and Jordan came to Pocatello Saturday for a Costco run! They brought Dad the jar of Cashews for his birthday - yummy! We had the privilege of feeding them lunch and sharing an hour or so of their busy, fun lives. So happy to have them both in Rexburg for this term, and only this term!
We had a beautiful sunset the other night - funny - Mortensen's noticed it from their house and Joel posted a picture of it on fb - what a pretty world we live in.

Williams Wall
Here is the wonderful Williams Wall - they worked so hard on and had the help of family (Chris K.) and good friends and neighbors ... it looks great.
We stopped by on our way back to Idaho and took pictures - Dad's idea! So much work and it looks so good.... grass coming - stay tuned!
From the other side. They are going to place fencing on top to provide more privacy and security - we hope we can help at some point - maybe another family sod laying party?

Last of the State Fair
It rained a little bit and we got a little wet - didn't dampen our happiness, however!
State Fair fun - always fun when you can experience things with family!
Big Pickle! and cute girls!
Nice bunch!

All the ice cream you can eat - we all got very full! yummy!

Even more State Fair
Most of the kids wanted to touch the animals - Briella didn't want anything to do with that!
Isaac and Keenyn picked up green hay and 'feed' these goats.
Fair Fun!
I think it said over 800 pounds of butter made this fun sculpture.
Cool fire pit - can't you just see fire coming out of the Dragon's mouth?

Nice picture of the oldest Kroeber boys - except Eli's in a skirt!! and long hair...didn't notice that when I took the picture.
All the kids with their full baskets of ag products.
Eli, Isaac and Keenyn on the big slide - it wasn't very fast - the workers had to go up and drag the mats down so others coming down didn't hit them.
Dan with Sadie, Olivia on the slide.
Looking at the pigs - smelled pretty bad.
Sheep - one with zombie eye!
Big bull in the background - someone taught Georgia to make funny faces for pictures!

Utah State Fair - Kroebers and Fairbanks
On Monday, September 14th we joined the Fairbanks Family at the Utah State Fair - fun FHE!!
Utah State FFA have the greatest exhibit - the kids get a basket and learn how to milk a cow - Briella was a little afraid of it!
Then they get to pick an apple of the trees and put it in their basket...cute aprons to protect their clothes.
Grandpa and Uncle Dan (Daddy) helping.
Riding a tractor was fun - ever seen a pink tractor?
More cute grandkids on the tractors.
Sheep got a nice brushing.
They had their baskets full and traded the 'goods' for treats - lots of fun.
