Setting up Camp in Rockport

When everyone went to the Oakley Rodeo, Dad and I decorated the pavilion - when Sadie came back and saw the Christmas lights - she asked: 'Is this a pardy?'   See the restrooms in the back?  We brought tables for changing diapers and washing hands - Dad was near when the Camp Host and wife came to clean them - they did a couple times a day.  He heard the wife tell her husband - they are cleaner than when we are finished!
Yes - a four day party!
Setting up tents and trailers - so fun to be all together.
Three fourteen year olds - heading for the river for some water time.
It was fun to hear them giggling and laughing - cutest girls.
Dinner time - before heading to the Rodeo.  Heather was holding 8 month old Sheffield, her two year old Briella came up and asked:  Where did you find that baby?"
Cute 'Photo Bombs"! - Notice the new rock on the ground around the pavilion - it rained and was all muddy - Chris Williams shoveled rock from the park pile into his truck and around the muddy pavilion - saved all kinds of trouble - it rained a little bit every day we were there.

More Fourth Parade

More lovely ladies at the parade!
It was a lovely day - early morning rain to cool things off, cloud cover for most of the parade!
Grace has blue/green hair, Sophie purple - at least for the summer..Jen said it will wash out before school starts.
Big balloons were fun - we were near an intersection so they had to lower the balloons to get under the wires.
Utah Provo Mission and Utah Orem Mission - first the Mission Presidents and wives - then the young sisters and elders.
Last were the Senior Couples - some riding in a big red double decker bus!  These young elders were shaking hands along the side and got in the way of my picture!

More Parade Pictures

Delia - an exchange student from Spain, is staying with the Fairbanks for the month of July - here she is with Shelby - they got along so well - both are 14 years old.
I like the back of Isaac's shirt - especially with the color guard marching by on the street.
LaVell Edwards and wife, Patty - grand marshalls of the Parade.
Cute Fairbanks women - love them so much!
The boys with the storm troopers in the background.
More Star Wars figures - the boys all know which are which - me, not so much!
Jennie's old roommate Kate ran the race also and Emilee saw her and told her to come on the parade route and find Jennie and Jason - they used to go camping together...it was fun to see her again and get caught up.

Fourth of July Provo Parade

More fun on the Parade Route - Saturday morning - Chris Kroeber's family members joined us in watching the parade.  Polly and Chris made breakfast burritos - so yummy!
Here is another view of the enclave - the kids that stayed all night seemed to have had enough sleep to not be zombies!
Uncle Sam ran the 5K in the fastest time - 20 something!! So Sam!
Kids blowing bubbles and playing with the glow sticks.
Emilee and boys are staying for 10 days - we are all happy about that!
Heidi and Shelby got to Lindsey's after midnight - Sydney met them there - so happy to have so many enjoying the parade.
Dad and Sam, Lindsey and Georgia - watching intently!

Staying Overnight at the Parade Route

Polly and Chris hosted their annual July 3rd Party - here is the Shepherd Pie Dinner - delicious and great company.
University Avenue between 2nd and 3rd East - great fun!  Good food, great company!  Thanks so much Polly and Chris.
Hardys, Uncle Sam, Fairbanks, Kroebers, Pikes - the girls loved looking in the Bridal Shop behind us.
Silly Grace with her grapes!

Church with Sydney

Sunday, June 28th, Sydney went to church with us at our YSA ward - she was the prettiest young woman there!  Loved having her visit for a few days - so did Joel and Annabelle.
