Olivia wanted to go on a hike after dinner and playing. We went on a short hike and then coming back Isaac and Keenyn and Sadie wanted to go on a hike with us. So we headed up the trail by the end of their road.
It was fun being with these cute grandchildren .. all wonderful hikers!
On the way up the trail, Isaac told Olivia: "Be prepared to see deer." I thought he was a little 'out there' but low and behold - when we got to the top of the trail - there were several deer on the opposite side of the canyon. Course it was twilight and they were out eating their dinner.
Here are the great hikers - the deer are in the background, not too easy to see.
Playing Chicken Foot dominoes with the adults.
Saturday morning the Kroeber boys cleaned up the back yard - notice Briella in her pj's under the tree.

More Thanksgiving
Yummy food - busy kitchen!
Kids at the kitchen table.
More of the kids table. Grandma Poole always had a kids table also - if I remember right, we didn't want to eat with the adults! We had more fun!
Adult table - Chris made the table with a piece of plywood - it was nice to eat in the toy room, used to eat there with Gramps all the time...loved the food, people and the view!
Another view of the Adult table.
Isaac had a little pumpkin pie with his whipped cream!
Most of the day, Eli was in his parents bedroom playing on the phone - funny boy!

Thanksgiving Dinner at Kroeber's
It was fun to see this Birthday Card from the neighbor girls - with Isaac getting the 'talking' hamster for one of his birthday presents!
The inside of the card - sure cute neighbor girls!
Grandpa and Georgia on Thanksgiving Day.
Playing with the hamster - Olivia, Sadie and Keenyn.
We gathered in the living room for the Blessing on the Food - Briella touching the ceiling. We sang the Doxology - old English Hymn, and Smith family tradition - Polly gave us candy corn so we could tell what we were thankful for - very special things.

Turkey Trot - Family Style
New Family Tradition - Turkey Trot run the morning of Thanksgiving. The girls played at the park, Grandma and Grandpa walked around the park and Heather and Lindsey ran 3 miles!!
The girls ran down the road to join their Mommy and Aunt Heather.
Cute runners!
The Timpview High School park is the perfect place - all the little ones can play and the adults run, walk, crawl, etc.
This is the 'charter' group - next year let's double the numbers!

Chinese Dinner at the Williams house
Wednesday evening we had Take Out Chinese at Polly and Chris's house - Georgia liked the Olaf that Chris brought Polly in the hospital...Grandpa loves that Georgia likes him to hold her!
The Kroeber grandkids were in Sandy so we had a great time with the Fairbanks girls!
The girls found these pirate coins and had a blast playing with them.
Cutest girls!
I know this is blurry - just want to show how these girls are always moving!!
Sadie dancing - love it!

Pleasant Grove visit
We drove to Pleasant Grove on Wednesday, Nov. 26. Here is the REAL Tow-Mater - right on State Street in Pleasant Grove!
Polly and Chris have a neighbor with a mini farm - this pig, little goats, chickens, ducks, etc. Polly had some stale cereal that we took down to feed the pig...he liked it - so did the goats!
Fun to have this neighbor near enough to walk to from the Williams house.

Pocatello's happenings
We have a really curious squirrel - he/she climbed up the storage shelves and knocked down the closed case of birdseed - broke the container and then ate the birdseed!
I think he/she was not happy when Dad took all the birdseed into the house!
Early Thanksgiving with Ben, Kate, Joel and Anna - yummy!
