The Grand Children

Lindsey came up Friday for a few hours - and brought the darling Fairbanks grand daughters.  Here are 15 wonderful grand children - Joel was at Scout Camp all week.  We are so blessed!
Lindsey was teasing and said - Tait can be in the picture!!  Made us all laugh!
The kids making more bead necklaces and bracelets - pretty crafty!
 Grandma jumping on the trampoline!
Jennie brought yummy things for our Somores - Reese cups, sprinkles, etc.

Sophie playing her Uke - all of us singing "You are my Sunshine" - so much fun for all - wish all of us could be together.

Wading in the River

On our way back down the river trail we stopped and waded in the cold water!  The boys got out on the rock and made it their own country!
Some of the girls were a little less adventurous!
 So much fun.
Annabelle, Kate and I made it out to the 'island'!

 Hiking back down the trail.
There were many swallowtail butterflies - also some purple and white butterflies.

Hike along the River

Friday morning Dad and Jason took the machines out and up a road until a 30 foot snowbank stopped them.  The rest of us drove to the Strawberry River and went for a wonderful hike.
Here are the grand children that were along - it is fun to climb on rocks!
The adults taking a picture of the kids on the rocks!
Best Grand Children in the world!
A beaver dam on the river...such pretty scenery.
Hiking down the trail - it was a beautiful morning and we all love the outdoors!

More fun at the cabin.

Chillin at the fire pit after dinner - such beautiful surroundings and wonderful people to share them with.
Polly had a fun 'trivia' game about classic literature ... it was fun to try and answer the questions.  The grand children - especially Grace - knew a lot of the answers!  Granny used to say:  The more you read the more you know!"
Sophie had a 2 liter of diet Coke and some candy Mentos - she said come and watch when I put them together ... here is the camera gallery and everyone watching the scientific show!
 Sophie getting ready.
Kind of fizzed up like Old Faithful and then fell back down - Eli said she should put the cap on and then it would explode ... glad it did what it did.

Hardy's Cabin

We picked up Emilee, Talus and Baden at the airport - thanks Polly for using your car!  We all headed to the Hardy's wonderful cabin near Strawberry.
Dinner on the back deck - it is so beautiful there!
Kids had a blast on the trampoline - as usual!
Jason gave rides on the four wheeler.
I brought a craft box that I had at our last reunion in Rockport - the kids enjoyed making bracelets and necklaces the most.
Even the boys had a great time with the beads...seeing the 'spinner' on the floor - Jason has one spinning around on top of his head - so funny!

Making Cookies and Ice Cube

Thursday we made no bake cookies - notice the pretty flowers from Dan- and the cute girls.  We wanted to take some to the cabin.
 Love Georgia's face!
Aunt Katie and Annabelle sent a bin of dress ups for the Fairbanks -  here Georgia and Millie decided to sit in it!
Lindsey froze some small plastic toys in a bucket of water - cool fun for the girls.
Corn holders worked better than spoons - fun summer activity!

June 15th - chance meeting and Sadie's T-ball game

Wednesday, June 14th we drove to Utah - Hardy's had been there for a few days - we pulled into the Chevron Gas Station on Canyon road and were surprised to see Jennie and girls pulling out!!  They parked and we got to give them hugs - they were on a shopping trip the boys stayed at the cabin with Jason to fish...totally random!
Cute Sadie at her T- ball game - love the red baseball mitt.
The whole teams bats around - here's Sadie running home - almost passing the boy in front of her!
T-ball is so funny!  - kids have to learn so much!
Olivia's team members practicing also - she's in a pink shirt at the end of the line.  It was

Russian Hats

Ben and Kate looked in boxes in their garage until they found these Russian Hats that Kate brought back with her when she went on her high school trip.  Dad declined wearing the Military Officer one - no sensed angering the KGB - right?
Do we look Russian enough?
Closer - this is with the ear flaps up - there is a ribbon tie on the top of each hat to tie them down.
This is with the ear flaps down - and I'm sure people tie the ribbon under their chins - we were hot enough with them on our ears!
Closer of the ear flaps ... Dad said he might take this hat it was so warm ... minus the old logo!

Quick visit to Hyrum

On Wednesday, June 7th - we drove to Hyrum - we  brought some things to Mortensen's and they gave us a Dress Up Box for the Fairbanks!  Here Anna is modeling - they still have plenty that fit her!  She got her two friends in the background to have a fashion show!  they all dressed up and paraded to music - fun!
 Anna making a funny face!
We got to see Joel's baseball game in Smithfield - He did great!  Struck out and then got a RBI double next turn at bat!  His team is the Yankees - as you can see.
Random; player - nice day, nice field - wonderful to spend time with family!!
