Kroeber's had planned to stop at Cove Fort on the way home ... so we all did. Well - Heidi and Sydney didn't - they headed back to Las Vegas. Here Joel and Anna are on the wagon - hard seats!
Olivia wanted a turn ... they split us up into groups so we weren't all together - twenty missionary couples serve there! Our guide had only been there two weeks and was just learning about things. Katie was kindly helping her - having worked at the Heritage Farm in Logan - Kate also was a wiz at the Hoop Rolling!! Joel worked and worked and at least could do it - but Kate was awesome!
Trying to gather everyone for a family photo - at the suggestion of the missionary guide.
First attempt - - then someone asked: where is Keenyn? and Eli? they were up on the balcony - fighting the Indians!
Finally - everyone was getting tired - notice Briella - sure was a great time! Polly took Jennie and Emilee to the airport - and we all arrived safely home - many blessings.

Picnic at the Park
After showering and checking out of the hotel we got food and headed to a park for a family picnic.
Someone suggested we have a picture of the girls and Mom and Dad - so we did! looks like Kate is picking bugs out of Heather's hair! j/k
What a good looking group of people!
Would only be better if ALL the family could have been there!

All the runners!
Here are the family members who ran the race - Chris was first in an hour and a half - or so, Emilee was under 2 hours - 1:56 or so! Heidi next I think, then Jennie and Heather, then Dad and I and Sydney has some injury problems and brought up the rear! so much fun! Next time lets go on an Alaskan Cruise for a family activity!
Heidi designed and brought these race shirts for everyone - so fun! this is the back of the shirt ... we were all standing around, waiting for the race to begin and a lady came up to me and asked if we had horses! no it's the 'crazy' part we have!!
Front of the shirt - several people commented on our shirts as we ran - as they ran past us - something like: "I love your shirts!"
Polly, Heidi and Jennie
Speaking of older pictures - here are the three oldest - Polly 4, Heidi 2, Jennie 6 months - so pretty and fun ... if they hadn't been so darling - we might not have had any more!!
What wonderful beautiful women they are - and all their four younger sisters....love to the moon and back!

Recreate thirty year old picture
Here we are outside of the restaurant - we are recreating a 30 year old picture taken at a Mothers and Daughters Camp - when we lived in Ellensburg. Such pretty girls!
Sydney was taking the pictures and we were all laughing so much! Lindsey and Heather especially cute!

At the picnic after the race we all decided to try again - what do you think?
Here's the original - wanted it on top but don't know how to make it do that! Sure loved being with all these wonderful women for three days!
Seven Sisters Dinner
We had a 'Girls Night Out' dinner - so much fun! Heidi and Sydney joined us - just arriving from Las Vegas - we talked and ate and laughed for about two hours! Sooooo fun!
Another view - our server was gracious and got a great tip!
This red telephone booth was outside the restaurant and Sydney said it reminded her of London - so of course we needed a picture - isn't she darling?

Lindsey's Baby Shower and Dan's motorcycle
Thursday April 20th - Fairbanks had a baby shower for Lindsey - here is Stacey, Emilee, and Chantelle - old roommates and RS members in the Singles Ward - fun times. Lindsey could open a baby boy clothing store with all the gifts she was given!
Dan took his motorcycle to St. George so a friend could fix it - he needed someone to hold it up while he strapped it in ... Joel looks cute doing it!
Maybe a future in this?

Old Steam Engine
Union Pacific brought an old Steam Engine that they bring out on runs every now and then. This one had been in Soda Springs, Montipiler and came to Pocatello today - April 19th. It parked on the tracks and people were able to walk right up it it! Notice all the snow on the mountains in the background.
They converted from water to oil - can go 300 miles without stopping - - not the same with the old water stops! The newspaper said that they could go almost all the way through Wyoming! Here is the oil tanker filling up the train - kind of funny, we thought.
It would blow the steam every now and then - I wanted it to use the whistle and bell - didn't while we were there.
A member of the 5th ward was there and Dad asked if he would take our picture - that and the fashion challenged young lady in the background!! j/k
I thought it was kind of ugly from the side ... bullet proof shields???
One more of Brother Clark's pictures - he was there with his three sons - I told him the little one didn't like the noise - he would cover his ears! But Brother Clark said: He loves trains!

Walk With Christ - Alameda Stake Pocatello ID
Here we are in our 'guide' costumes for our Stake "Walk With Christ" Dad said he looks like something out of the Hobbit!!
This is the end of the 'walk' - pictures of Christ loaned by Deseret Book - cookies provided by sisters in the stake.
Closer view of the pictures. There was also a video screen set up that played "Faith in Christ" - and temple openhouse invitations - guest book to sign and request a copy of the video to be hand delivered!
Cookies -notice the 'gluten free' ones - very thoughtful I think.
Kitchen where all the assembling of the cookie trays happened...and lots of sampling.
Dad was wanting to wear socks with his sandals - I told him he couldn't - then when we got there - two other men had socks on with theirs! It was a wonderful program and the best way to prepare to celebrate Easter. We had live 'actors' iin most rooms - Nativity to Resurrection. One mother and about a seven year old daughter were in the room where the movie played of the Savior was crucified - hard to find actors who will be nailed to a cross. The Mother started crying, the little girl asked her why she was crying. The Mom said: because of all the mean things done to Jesus and that He died. The sweet little one replied: But He lives!

Fairbanks Visit Pocatello
We were so happy to have the Fairbanks family come up Friday night - - Dan was going to help Dad put in a new garage door opener - the girls and Lindsey and I were going to play!
Dad made yummy waffles for everyone! Notice the blue bucket in the background catching the rain as it fell through the roof!!
Our Pine Ridge Mall has a fun bouncy house place ... the girls all had a blast!
Millie mostly wanted to play in the 'balls pit' - she looks more and more like her pretty oldest sister Olivia as she gets older...both beautiful girls! Sadie and Georgia resemble more the Smith side of the family.
The girls also rode these fun animals - so much fun!
Georgia had a turn to be in control and ran into the wall - so Sadie took over again.
Olivia and Millie choose a horse - Sadie and Georgia a giraffe - such fun!
So happy to have Grandchildren visit - anyone - anytime!!
Proud Dan and Dad - and new garage door opener!!! Thanks so much Dan and Lindsey - visit again any time!!
