We had a wonderful trip to Utah for Thanksgiving. Sam and Allie stayed at Polly's and we stayed with Fairbanks. Driving to Pleasant Grove Thursday we loved this view of Timpanogos!
Allie and This were the hit of the day - both beautiful and smart and charming!!
More Sam, Allie and Thia.
Six of our children - really made for a happy Thanksgiving for us. Thanks Heather and Chris for stopping on your way to Sandy - that's were the Kroeber's grandkids were already.
Cute picture of everyone ... except I forgot my glasses go dark automatically from the sun - I look like either a hollywood star or a blind woman!!

Update on Quilt - Dad's face
Here is an update of our wonderful quilt...Notice Kyle's square from the mission field ... it wasn't available to Polly when she put the quilt together. It is in Russian - I love that - and it is the quote from Joshua 24:15 - "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." It didn't have his name on it so I sewed that in red. It covered up a cute one of a beaver - I like this better!
Here's the top part of the quilt so you can see Kyle's square blends right in!
Here is the left side of Dad's face with the cream treatment that works on the pre-cancerous spots. We see a dermatologist once a year and he looked at me first and zapped a small spot on my forehead. Then looking at Dad he said - I think you should use another method - there are too many to zap. As you can see he was right! There weren't quite that many on the right side - glad for good doctors and good medicines! and cute Husband/Dad/Grandpa!!

Our Wonderful Quilt
We are loving our anniversary quilt! Thanks so much to all of you - I love looking at each square and will add Kyle's next week!
I thought it might be a a better picture if I stood on a chair - yep! Isn't it awesome!!
Thought I'd add my pretty birthday flowers from Dad - they looked great on my birthday - dropy the next day - so I dried them - not too bad, huh? Notice my messy desk!
Since I took a picture of my messy desk in our bedroom - I thought I'd add a picture of our dressers ... can you tell which one is Dad's and which is mine?? yeah - I thought so!!!

Gleaning Potatoes
On Saturday, Nov. 5th - we drove out in the country - we noticed in a field that people were picking up potatoes and we stopped and asked. The farmer leaves the last 3 or 4 rows for people to glean.
Here is what we found when we got our grocery bags from the truck and walked over to the rows of potatoes. I'm assuming the tractor turns over the row so the potatoes are on the top - just to be picked up!
Here's our haul in about 5 minutes of work.
Cute Harold with our bags of potatoes! Love the ancient concept of gleaning - blessings to the farmer.

More Funeral Pictures
Here is the display in the foyer of the church - wonderful to see pictures of Afton's life and family.
Here I am with Aunt Pat - her oldest daughter LaeLauni is sitting next to her, then my cousin Linda Poole Warner - Uncle Harold's only daughter. I think we all look pretty good - well - Aunt Pat has looked better!
Becky and Sue came after I took the first picture - still looking pretty good I think - for a bunch of old people!
Our cousin Sandy - and my awesome sisters!
Cousin Larry - he was the mayor of Sandy for a little bit.
Cousin Carol and Maughn Lee from Provo - she's the one with apricots in her large back yard! They both had canes to help them walk ... Carol is Aunt Kathy's oldest daughter, the first grand child of my Grandparents.

Aunt Afton's Funeral
Wednesday, Nov. 2nd - was the funeral for Aunt Afton - here is the book - we signed for us and the via long distance for the Pikes.
I had not seen this picture before - I think if looks a little like my Momma!
Afton at the Cottonwood Hospital -where she volunteered for over 20 years! that's service!
Aunt Margaret, Uncle Harold, Grandpa Poole, Grandma Poole, Aunt Kathy - in front Afton, Pat and Vivian.....only Aunt Pat left on this side of the veil ... she calls her walker her 'covered wagon'!
I'm pretty sure Aunt Afton embroidered this - maybe after Croft and Lennie died.
