Heritage Elementary School - Nibley, Utah

On Saturday we drove to Hyrum to give Kate, Joel and Annabelle - back to school blessings.  We also got to see Heritage Elementary School in Nibley - Kate new work place.  It was neat to see where she will be working the next nine months!  Nice pretty much new school - great layout and all.  Kate with work with Preschool and Kindergarten mostly.
Anna and Joel had helped her put things away and organize the shelves - lots of fun things to teach speech with - plus the old standby - Marble Game!
The other side of the room - Anna sitting on the table where the students will sit - good luck to all who are going back to school this week and next!  Provo started last week - many blessings in getting a good education.

 Cute Sadie enjoying the splashes!
Olivia at one of the fountains.
Heather needed to take Eli to his new school - so we were happy to have the younger Kroeber's with us - we went to the school play ground.
Beautiful Georgia - we will miss her birthday party - so we took a picture early.
Millie also - she has the cutest expressions all the time.

Hewson Family Concert - Thia's Song

The Hewson family came over to give us a musical treat!  Steve and Grandpa 'Doc', Sharon and Ben joined for some really good 'bluegrass' music.  We loved:  You are my Sunshine, Grandma's Feather Bed and best of all Thia's Song.
Stan danced with Annabelle - since Julie was playing her guitar.
Olivia also got a great dance with Uncle Stan.
Steve told us all that in the hospital a few days after Thia's birth - Stan held her up to the window and started talking to her.  He said things like - I want to tell you so much, and show you so much - the clouds in the sky, etc.  Steve said he was writing it down and he created a beautiful tune and song - Thia's Song.
Here is Thia - enjoying her Great Grand Dad, Grandpa, Mommy and Daddy singing her song.

Katie was taking pictures and this time Thia is looking directly at her Daddy, as he sings her song.  Mommy playing guitar behind her.  So much love and security for all of us.

More Dam Jam - family fun!

Riddick bringing his tennis ball to Millie - hoping she could throw it for him!
Sweet Baby Thia - we all let Stan have a few minutes to hold her ... actually he changed her diapers all day!
Family fun - I bought windmills for all the kids, Fairbanks brought punch balls!  Notice Olivia cute new hair cut - Sadie also has shorter hair...Grandma with Thia.
Trying to get all the eleven grandchildren who were there for a picture - pretty crazy!
Pretty cute - except for the man in the background!  gotta love Millie's enthusiasm!
That's better - what great blessings we have!
Love Thia's expression - a little like: oh wow - is this what it is going to be like?
More of Millie and the other cute Fairbanks girls!
Five of the ten and most spouses - what a great looking group!

August 13th, 2016 -Aunties Meeting Thia

Polly, Kate, Heather and Lindsey were so happy to finally meet 6 week old Cynthia Dianne - Thia.  We all took turns holding and snuggling her - and missed all those who couldn't join us!
Aunt Heather and wide awake Thia!

Aunt Kate with Thia - she loves to stick out her tongue in her sleep!
Aunt Polly and a sleeping Thia - proud Dad Stan in the background.

Aunt Lindsey and Thia wanting to sleep!  She was so sweet and calm all day...didn't mind being passed around - course she had her Mommy and Daddy near.

Lunch with the whole group - taco salad - everyone contributed!  Actually a couple of strange children came over at the start of lunch - we told them it was just our family.  Later after we had mostly eaten, an older lady came over and helped herself and we let her.  The Dam Jam has pot lucks on Friday and Saturday evenings - so it was okay to have her think it was a potluck lunch!
It was fun to be at the pavilion that we used last year in our Family Reunion - love Rockport!
Briella and Sadie cramming potato chips in their pretty faces!!

Dam Jam - Friday August 12, 2016

Friday, August 12th we drove to Hyrum and picked up Joel and Anna ..we then met Polly and Chris and Eli and Isaac at Lagoon - the Williams annual Older Cousins Lagoon Day!  Thanks so much Uncle Chris and Aunt Polly - the grandkids all worked some on the hard yard work - nice reward!
We then drove to Rockport and I wanted all of you to see the great benches built last year - still looking great!
Here is Grandpa with beautiful Thia and her new (too large) sunbonnet!
Heidi, Alta (four months) and Bridger - two years old - nice to have them at the Jam - living in Maine is too far away!
Stan, Dad, Thia and Riddick solving the world's problems - seriously - don't they look solemn?
Stan and Julie dancing - Thia in the middle!

Stan helping Bridger ... find rocks!

Wonderful Grandchildren's pictures - Birthday Cards

It was great to get new pictures for my birthday from Talus and Baden, Olivia and Sadie and Georgia - sure makes my wall look better!
Great 'story' card from the Hardy's - detailing our wonderful Saturday at Virginia Beach - sure love this card and all the Hardy's and Pikes that helped make our day an awesome one!
Great looking wall - keep sending all the fun pictures - my fridge and walls need them!
This is for Sophie - who thinks it is funny that I 'need' pink sugar cookies!  I bought these for my birthday - wish I could share them with some grandchildren.

Our Tree

This is the tree in our front yard ... Dad's curiosity got the better of him and he took these pictures to a local Gardening Center - to see if they knew what it was.
 Strange leaves and dropping branches.
Close up of one leaf ... the nursery didn't know what it was ... but looked it up on the computer and it is a Weeping Berryless Mullberry tree!!  Now we know!
These sunflowers came up by themselves after we planted some last year. We noticed the sprouts in the spring as we weeded - and we just let them grow!
