Easter 2016
Easter Sunday we drove to Hyrum - Kate was speaking in Church and we wanted to hear her. Joel and Anna hit it big with the Easter Bunny!
Joel and Anna are growing up - it was nice to have Joel be the Deacon who passed the Sacrament to us. Church was good - Anna sang with the Primary - Gethsemane - beautiful song.
The good looking Mortensen Family - Nice day for Easter pictures.
All the Grandparents - Mortensen's and Smith's - sure makes holiday's happier when spent with family!
After Church we drove to Provo - sweet Millie and the cute tyedyed eggs the Fairbanks made.
Kroeber's had their annual Family Easter Dinner and egg hunt ... here is some of the company arriving - there were lots of Kroeber's and Polly, Chris, us and Fairbanks - and Jordan. She came down from Rexburg for the weekend - such a beautiful girl.
The three little girls starting the Egg hunt!

St. Patrick's Day - Logan
Dad being silly on St. Patrick's Day - at the ISU Bookstore.
Don't know why my picture is the right way - oh well.
We drove to Logan on March 19th - these cows and new baby calves were so cute - true sign of spring!
Joel dunking the ball!
Becky and her Activity Girls singing at the local Community Luncheon - we attended and had ribs, salad, and cake - yummy.
This is the wedding cake of the couple from our Institute Class that got married in the Logan temple that day...we actually ran into them as we and Becky went to a session with three family names.
The great decorating job they did on a cultural hall. Annabelle made this cute diarama for her school project.

Fence space
This is the side of the house that Stan and Dad are going to build a fence - along the old one and to the corner of the garage.
Stan wanted to see the posts and decide if they can use the existing ones or make new ones.
The other side of the fence space.
This is the gate that the neighbor offered - Stan thinks he can use it - yay! These are the pictures that the Pocatello Police saw Dad taking and stopped and asked if we were having problems with our neighbors! Nope - they are awesome!! I guess it looked strange to be taking pictures in the back yard!!

Hurt Hand!
Hi everyone - here is the brochure that the doctor gave me - explaining the curling down of the fingers...especially the ring finger and pinkie. Mine was only 20% - this one looks 80-90!
Medical explanation of how the collagen changes with old age.
Yep - this is what was happening. I asked the doctor how long before my hand wasn't functional - after all I'm 70 years old! He said he couldn't tell - so I may as well get back to full function...for now.
Today, the doctor numbed my left palm and 'cracked' the cords - you could actually hear them popping - yes it hurt! Not as bad as the initial injections!! I can have milder pain meds - good!
Here's the back of my swollen hand -notice the bruising under the pinkie.
Here's the front of the affected hand - even more bruising. They gave me some exercises to do to strength the fingers.
I should wear this splint at night for a month - because most of us curl our fingers downward in sleep.
Back of the splint - hope I don't smack Dad in the head while sleeping!!
Dad found the first spring flower in the back yard - pretty yellow crocus!! more coming around it! We woke up to an inch of snow - but it was gone by 10 - happy for that.

Misc. from Idaho
I jotted down notes from a recipe online - then when I but the dish in the oven - I couldn't find my note - looked everywhere - then when I got the dish out of the oven - there it was - stuck to the bottom of the dish - yikes!
Kate and kids stopped for a few minutes Saturday - loved having them.
Joel and James - the friend who lives across the street - he was happy to see Joel.
Here's the top of my left hand - no hiding that - bright red!
Here's the bottom - notice the bruising in the palm ... can't complain when I think of our Savior with nails in His hands - for all of us.
Here's my Christmas cactus - blooming three months late! still pretty.
