I liked this old Chevy truck that was up on the rack in the high school auto body shop.
Another view of the old truck.
Derrell had an orange VW bug when he was in high school - think this is it?
Teachers lounge in the Auto Body Shop - fun car seats!
I could take a nap on that!
Never heard of this wonderful 1030's car! I learn so much when I sub!

Auto Body Shop
This was in the room when I got there to Sub on Thursday!! maybe a 'dunce' cap moderinized?
Did you know that your pictons can fail nine different ways! Neither did I!!
Gotta love the trash can next to the Teacher's desk.
I liked this poster - and parents, for the most part, know the WHY - !!

Gramps and Talus
In my 'sorting' I found this cute picture of Gramps - as a preschooler, I think. Dad commented that it looked a lot like Talus in our Valentine - yep cutest smile around!!

SNOW!
Saturday morning we woke up to snow! First time since Christmas...and we were in UT, VA and NC then. We have had a few flurries but nothing like this all of January and most of February.
I really like the snow and cold in the winter - didn't get my fill even living in Montana for two winters! Haven't shoveled yet this year!
Our house in the snow - Dad did shovel but it all melted from the roads and driveways also.
Newspaper boys tracks and mine! The Land Rover is in the shop for a couple days - minor repairs. Not much snow to celebrate but when we've had none - we have to make do with this! It could be two feet high and I would love it!
The tree just off our deck in the back yard.
Neighbors pretty pine tree. I hope we get another couple of good snow storms before spring.

Math Class
I subbed last week in a Algebra Class at Highland High School. This was the clock on the wall! Glad I had a watch to help me tell time!
I liked them poster on the wall also - very true!
The Math teacher must have a good sense of humor to post this poster - and I hope he doesn't slap and run!
This was a nice reminder of the difficulty of math word problems!
This was the best! Kept me laughing all day!

Visit to Rexburg
Friday, February 20th was a no school day for Pocatello - so no work! We drove to Rexburg and attended the temple at noon. Our ward had a Temple Night scheduled at the Idaho Falls Temple at 7 that evening - so we did two in one day - awesome!
Jordan was out of class at 3:00 so we went to her apartment - same building as Sydney, different apt. It was very clean - I was impressed - told Jordan I would tell her mother!
We went out to dinner at Applebee's in Rexburg - isn't Jordan pretty? It was fun to catch up with her busy life and learn about her ambitious plans for the future!

Valentine's Day Flowers
Oour Christmas Cactus decided to bloom for Valentine's Day!
Dad gave me this pretty mini pink rose bush - to plant in our front garden this spring - next to the pretty yellow one he gave me last year!

School misc.
If you saw the fb video about the ghost of Pocatello High School - this is the drinking fountain and the hallway pictured in that video - I like it in broad daylight!!
This poster was up in a math and statistics class this week - funny I think.
I subbed in English and Language Arts - this teacher had these posters on her bulletin board - but they were in plastic sleeves and they didn't take a very good picture - still pretty funny...Glad I wasn't a teacher then.
More of the same - lousy job in the 1800's - some think still lousy today!

Some of the same crazy rules in 1915!!
Robots at Pocatello High School
Last week I subbed in the Industrial Arts dept. of Pocatello High School. The students in two class periods were working on their robots....shades of Kyle at West Lake!! Here is their logo - I think it is clever for ID.
These are the small robots - it is what most students were working on - the scoop at the front picks up blocks.
This is the controller - you should see how fast some of them go!
Closer of the robot.
These are the Big robots - the crane looking things at the right of center. They are supposed to lift and stack the dark colored bins at the left.
The door was locked to the lab so this is the best I could do for a picture - pretty cool stuff.

Bugs in the Computer
I was a substitute at Highland High School and the teacher had a white thing behind the computer - upon further investigation - it was a bug catcher!
No bugs in this computer!!!

Sam at the Airport
Sam and Dad at the Pocatello Regional Airport - Sunday morning February 1, 2015.
A kind man took our picture - as Sam left for home. I really like his shirt message - Alaksa Mountain Rescue - Saving your keister since 1959! It was a fun visit - see him again in July.
