Grandma and Grandpa joined them - Anna is a furry monster, Joel basketball Zombie.
Dad's cousins son and wife and family - they are members of our ward and the kids attend school with Joel and Anna.
One row of the cars at our ward parking lot.
This 'black and white' monster wanted to hug the black and white ref! No we don't know who it was!
Fun trunk - teenage boy in Hawaian skirt and lei giving out the candy - Dad holding sign: Need to get to church. Have no candy to keep me awake through Priesthood.  Any candy will help ... God bless!
I know they are from Frozen - and the child didn't want the snowman hat on - cute huh?
Ben, Kate and kids at their ward's trunk and treat... it was 30 minutes after our wards - so we made both!
This young man had his box for treats on a radio controlled car and he drove it around the parking lot!

Bicycle vs. Car Accident

Dad was driving down our street and witnessed a bicycle vs. car accident.  A man on a bike, with no helmet, was riding down Poplar street at a pretty high rate of speed.  A lady driving a car made a left turn - didn't see him - and pow!  the bike caused the car damage - his head broke the windshield!  Dad called 911 and the fire station is only blocks away and the police all got there in record time.  The man was alert and hurting and bleeding on the road.  Dad got the old wool poncho blanket from our car and covered him.  We think he was okay - the car isn't and the lady was pretty hysterical about it.  Dad said the paramedics treated the injured and then went over to her.  I'm glad I wasn't there!  Be Careful everybody!!
Last view of the silver Malibu - sold to the man from Idaho Falls with $800.00 cash in hand!  He wanted it for his son - originally an LA Mission car - served us well...farewell and good luck!

Tumble weeds

This is the faculty parking lot at Century High School - the big one south of Pocatello near I-15 Freeway.  I subbed in a Biology class and coming out to go home found this small tumble weed next to the truck - love living in the wild west!
Later that evening - I noticed this even smaller tumble weed on our deck!  - I know the deck needs painting!
So - what a great Halloween picture - two ghosts at our front door! one even waving at us!!
Last pictures of Dad's flower bed -it should freeze hard tonight so we'll plant spring bulbs soon.  The whole neighborhood has enjoyed our flowers - one neighbor told me: "You know college boys don't live there anymore!"
Here's the source of the door ghosts - the sun shining off the Land Rover's windows - still pretty neat the week of Halloween!
View of Pocatello from our back deck - soon the leaves will fall and we'll have snow - that will be pretty also.

Smileys Fun Run 2014

Kate and Anna ran with me at the park between our houses - the Oct. annual Smiley's Fun Run, raising money for the Chinese orphanages that Ken and Becky sponsor.

It was a beautiful fall day.
Ben came along as the official race photographer!  Anna was the fastest!
 Anna throwing up autumn leaves.
Fun to be a kid!
