Playing with the 'snow balls' on the stairs.
Polly, Bekah and Hunter - it was fun to meet our great grandson!
Heather and Lindsey did most of the quilt - while Polly directed kid traffic - Polly and I did a little bit.
Kids playing under the quilt.
Finished! Polly, Georgia and Lindsey, Bekah, Jessica, me and Heather...it turned out really cute.

On Saturday at Polly and Chris's house, we had a small party for Sadie - three years old.
She liked her presents and shared with all the cousins.

Kitara's Apron
Our cute 14 year old neighbor - I am her mother's VT and they are less active - but awesome!
She has rainbow hair! When it rains I take her to the bus stop as her mother is already at work. Dad works in South Dakota in the oil fields - 2 weeks on, 1 week off. Mother works at the Women's Prison.
She turned 14 on Sunday, Sept. 28th - and I made her this 'rainbow' apron. She liked it!

Provo, Sept. 20, 2014
It was fun to be at Fairbanks house and tend their girls and Briella - Keenyn went after lunch to the BYU football game with Dan and Lindsey.
Fairbanks joined the 'new to us' car for a birthday celebration! Lindsey and the Surburban - love it!
I guess we should also include Dan with the new car.
Lindsey has been busy with the fall harvest - love these peaches and tomatoes in jars. They had a tender mercy - after all that work Dan noticed that the old garage shelves were tipping outward - yikes! all that food and broken glass on the garage floor?! So now they have nice new sturdy shelves to put their jars on.

Buffalo Herd
On Saturday we were driving to Provo to tend the Fairbanks and Briella while their parents went to the BYU football game - this herd of buffalo were along the freeway near the ID - UT border.
It was neat to see them - Dad took the next exit and we drove back on the frontage road to get pictures.
Cows, calves and bulls all just eating in a field - scenes like from 100 years ago.

Tendoy School Fall Carnival
Friday evening was Chief Tendoy School Fall Carnival - here we are in the cafeteria eating dinner - notice Joel behind us on another table with his friends.
Kate said last year it was inside and so crowded she got claustrophic (sp) nice to be outdoors, the weather was warm.
The crew - plus Grace - one of Anna's friends and neighbors.
This cat belongs to a family that lives over the chain link fence in the background...it comes to the school on recess Anna says - for some hugs I guess.
Anna and Grace with cat faces! The school carnival was fun - and raised needed funds for all that the school needs to function.

Birthday and New Car
On our way to Bozeman on Saturday, we stopped in Idaho Falls and drove this Land Rover - it is a 2003, but the business man who had it for sale owned business in IF and CA...he left this car in CA to drive when he flew down there for business - it is 11 years old but only has 68000 miles!
This morning we went to Mountain America Credit Union and they had the listed price at 400 more than was being asked for the car - we bought it! Actually Dad got an email this morning from the Credit Union telling him Happy Birthday and with a code they sent we got .25% less interest on a car loan!!! Good Timing!
We drove up with the check and back home in two cars. We think we will sell the Malibu - any takers?
The Mortensen's came over for the birthday dinner and celebration - Joel had soccer practice between dinner and birthday cake and ice cream.
Thank you everyone for the great cards and gifts - Dad had a great day - worth turning 72 for!!!
Are you tired of seeing our beautiful flower garden - we sure have enjoyed it this summer.

Gallatin Roller Girlz Bout
After the football game we grabbed a bite of dinner and then header to the County Fairgrounds for Gallatin Roller Girlz Bout against Great Falls. Here the coach is giving final instructions - Julie (Baby Jules) in number 435.
The whole atmosphere is just fun - love the neon green jerseys of the Gallatin girlz - the other team was in black jerseys.
Warmups - Julie is third from the right.
Officials checking each girls equipment. One of the older men official's name was A Fishy Ater - Stan said he used to be called Special Ed - his real name is Ed - but thought it might not pass PC so he changed.
Julie on the right just after being announced - her team mate on the left being announced.
If you ever get the chance to go to a Roller Derby - you would enjoy it! We only stayed a short time as we had a four hour drive back to Pocatello, but we're sure glad we got to see some of the action. Stan texted that they "kicked butt - won 354 - 72 - that really is a butt kicking! or rolling - fun Saturday in Bozeman.

Montana State University Football Game
It was a beautiful day for a football game - Stan told us about the fence they built inside the visiting locker room to protect the electrical working of the jumbotron...he also pointed out several other fences his company had built around the stadium.
The football team players came into the stadium through this Bobcats mouth! fun
They scored on this play - coming toward us - great seats. Won the game 43 to 33 - Central Arkansas - must have been a great trip for the kids from central Arkansas to come to Montana!
Nice lady sitting behind us took our picture during half time. I forget that my glasses are dark - not trying to look like a movie star - Stan, not sure about him!
Walking back to the car after the game we found this trailer in one of the University parking lots - so if you don't know what to major in - try Snow Science! In small print under the Montana - it says Mountains and Minds - okay by me! I guess the skidoo is for advanced research!!
Fun semi truck parked near the stadium...great time was had by all!
