Lagoon with Aunt Polly

Monday, July 28th, we drove Joel and Anna to Lagoon where we met Aunt Polly and Eli and Isaac.  They had a blast for about eight hours!  Thanks for being a wonderful Aunt Polly - lots of happy memories made.

Kurt and Emily in Idaho, Soda Springs

Sunday afternoon we got a great phone call inviting us to drive to Paris, Idaho and see Kurt, Emily and kids.  They were there just finishing a Sheffield Family Reunion.  When we got there the kids were making leather things on this bench.
Savanna made the cute bracelet for me and the key chain for grandpa - and Clark worked and worked on the round key chain and finally finished it and was so cute giving it to him.
What a nice looking group!!  love these people!!
On the way home we drove right through Soda Springs - we stopped to see the geyser - it is on a timer now and goes off on the hour, each hour.  So we just saw the spring part.
Pretty interesting story - the pioneers made root beer with the soda water.

Fairbanks Move to Provo

We were lucky to go to Salt Lake on Saturday and help the Fairbanks, pack, clean and move to Provo.
Olivia and Sadie and their packed up bedroom - sleeping on the floor.
Georgia and her cousin in the packed up living room.
The service Master trailer being loaded... as Olivia poses for the camera!
New house in Provo - with Aunt Polly.

Missionary Wedding

Sister Havili served with us in Jamaica - Olivia wanted to go to the wedding reception with us - the flowers around the bride smelled wonderful.  There were so many people there that we left and went out to dinner.
This is the Arimo, Idaho openhouse the next evening - I wanted a picture of both the bride and groom and didn't get it in Salt Lake.
Also wanted a picture of the pretty wedding dress!

Hollyhock Doll

Annabelle and Grandma made a Hollyhock doll today - see the scrawny Hollyhock plant in the backgound?
It was fun telling Anna that her mother used to make these also - as I did, and my mother!
Cute, huh? one of summer's traditions for the girls in the country.
Happy Wedding Anniversary flowers and Anna's Hollyhock Flower Doll on our dining room table.

Montana Fishing

When Grandpa and Joel came back from fishing the stream - they fished beaver ponds nearby - Joel cast three times into the first beaver pond and caught three fish!
Grandpa taught Joel how to clean the fish - like he has taught many others!
Pretty good smile, don't you think!  Joel caught the biggest fish - the one in the middle...Grandpa caught the bigger one on the far right.
Just in case you didn't notice how awesome these fish are - here is a close up!  We froze them and will eat them in Pocatello.
The Mountain Man store in Lewistown - Joel bought a small pocket knife.
Joel wading in the cold water of Big Spring Creek - brave boy!

Lewistown with Joel

It was fun taking Joel to the sights of Lewistown - this is an old trading post.
Fish Hatchery - notice the big fish in the feeding pond.
American League Baseball - Lewistown won!
 Getting ready for fishing.
Off they go! - Grandpa holding the worms.
Success - they caught 17 fish between them, released most and kept these 5 - the biggest.  Cute boots, huh?

Stan and Machine

We stopped in Bozeman on our way to Lewistown, July 18th.  Stan was mowing a big field just off the freeway and we stopped to see him.
Stan had Joel get up in the cab and actually drive this big thing!
Joel cutting the grass - nice machine - air conditioned, radio!
Here is more of Joel's driving the mower - tall grass!

Sydney's 20th Birthday

Happy 20th Birthday to beautiful Sydney - July 14, 1994!  We were able to drive up to Rexburg and take her out to lunch - here is the free treat that Winegars gave her or her birthday...we helped her eat it.
At her apartment there was a sign on the door - and decorations inside - plus hanging laundry.

We also received free fried Twinkies!!  the whipped cream and strawberries were yummy - the fried Twinkies - not so much.  Glad we didn't pay for them!!

Primary Class

This is the Primary class I have been subbing in since April!  We are building the 'walls of Jericho' out of sugar cubes.
 Here is our creation!
The boy on the left is Kaden Stones - a distant relative of Harolds - cute, fun kids to teach the gospel to.
